Eduardo Ahedo is Professor of Aerospace Engineering at the Bioengineering and Aerospace Engineering department at University Carlos III of Madrid. He received the Diploma and Doctorate degrees in Aeronautical Engineering from the same Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He was a Fulbright postdoctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. More recently he has been Visiting Professor at the same institution and at Supaero (France). His research experience is focused in modeling and simulation in applied plasma physics, such as space propulsion, electrodynamic tethers, plasma-surface interaction, plasma instabilities, and, in the past, plasma-laser interaction. He co-authored more than 100 scientific publications and has led projects financed by the Spanish Government, ESA, the Framework Programme of the EU, and the USA-EOARD.
